I'm trying to make it with Garrus in ME2 but it feels so wrong. And not the kind of wrong that makes me not want to be right like a femshep on asari relationship but plain wrong. I don't even know how interspecies intercourse would work.

Voted Keeper because I couldn't resist once I'd seen it. Don't understand the Quarian attraction, do understand the Asari attraction but it's a little generic. Solus' warning that oral contact with the Drell could cause hallucinations was rather intriguing, but the sides of Thane's face creep me out. If I were honest I think I'd have chosen Turians, which is positively horrifying. Madly suppressed urges to romance Garrus throughout ME2. I think it's their voices. I hope it's their voices
No, seriously, none of them. None of them. At least none of the "alien" aliens. The Asari are just blue women, and by far the most disappointing race in all of Mass Effect. In a universe brimming with fantastic creature designs (like the Hanar, Volus, Elcor, Salarians and Rachni), the Asari are the most boring aliens I have met outside star trek's "we look like humans with funny ears" "aliens".
Though Tali was my ME love interest too little is known about what is under their suits. The females of the other races are complete unknowns so far too.

But think of it this way.
Asari have no gender, so you are basically boning a woman and a dude.

I'm no scientist, but I don't think it's illogical (thank you Mr. Spock) to think that sentient lifeforms evolving on a planet with similar conditions to ours (indeed aren't these the only ones that can sustain life as far as we know?) might end up looking similar. The alternative in most science fiction (including Mass Effect) is just a bunch of reptilian looking things. Why is it more believable that alien lifeforms will look like bipedal iguanas rather than humans? I guess you're kind of caught in a sci-fi trope either way. That's why it's so hard to design good alien races I suppose.

Yeah, but it looks and sounds like a female, so assuming it has all the appropriate inputs I'm good.
I would've chosen asari, but... I dunno. After seeing Liara in ME2 look like she's on drugs or something (dark circles under her eyes) I chose quarian.
Quarian because they're always stuck in those suits. Once they get out of it, the skin on skin contact drives them into a lustful frenzy and they become the biggest freaks in the galaxy.
