I have always thought that the best medium to adapt the mass effect franchise to outside of video games would be a tv series Here are my ideas for what a Mass effect TV show could be:

The mass effect mythos is incredibly rich and I think making the show a space opera would limit the potential for fleshing out the universe in interesting ways. What interests me most about the universe is the interactions (especially personal) between species and humanities sudden emergence on the galactic scene.

To best explore these aspects I think a show following the first (or one of the first) humans to join C-Sec on the citadel. It wouldn't be a standard police procedural like law and order (although elements of these could exist), it should be the C-Sec agents responding to small disputes between inhabitants of the citadel and sort them out.

Although I would be completely shocked if a Mass Effect TV show even came close to production I think its still something to think about.

    What are your guys thoughts?

It would be cool but would probably be too expensive to produce. I heard that was also the chief reason the Star Wars TV show was put on indefinite hold.

Potential investors may have some questions for you such as...

    1. What kind of merchandising opportunities do we have here.
    2. How much would we spend on makeup every week, could we just do it with digital effects.
    3. How much would the rights to this cost. How much would it cost to come up with our own IP.

I want a sitcom. Two and a Half Elcor, Everybody Loves Wrex or something like that.

It would be expensive and it wouldn't meet the expectations of fans.

I think to people who don't know anything about Mass Effect it would be confusing and boring, and for people who do know and like Mass Effect it would just be boring.

If there had to be a show, I think a serialized drama centered around Cerberus vs. the Alliance would be interesting, with alien stuff included of course. Focus the show on transhumanism and xenophobia. Maybe set it after the First Contact War. New characters, new old tech, story that has nothing to do with the Reapers. Could work.

My pitch was always CSI: Wards (stands for Citadel Security Investigation)

It would star Garrus back in his C-Sec days as a rouge cop who is always treading the line.

Or, you could watch Star Trek, Star Wars, or Battlestar Galactica.

Why would you go to the trouble of making a Mass Effect series and then have it be a police procedural? It's not as though there aren't a hundred of those already... but in this one they're using forensics on an Elcor!!

I love Mass Effect, but the world doesn't need a Mass Effect television show.

It would be either expensive to produce or too cheap to be good.

Love this idea. Hell, they should just make an actual spin-off game based off of it.

Agreed, I love Garrus and I would love form them to explore his back-story with C-Sec.

I actually think it would be great. There is tons of fiction to built on, but since tv shows in space are gone I don't think they will be returning sadly.

I'd be more interested in a Blasto TV show.
