me and my friend were having this argument, and i think that a spartan would totally win in a fight.

Depends on what each of them has as far as equipment. If the Terminator had like tons of guns and stuff to match the Spartan then I think the Terminator would win... dang why am I thinking this much about it?

Dude a spartan would because they have that cusion of stuff that protects them from hard impacts like when master chief just jumps from space to Earth and is still alive. So the terminator would have to fins some way to penatrate the armor. Also, a spartan is taller and taller people are cool so they automatically win........btw I'm short but meh tall people are awsome

All depends.  Is this the terminator made out of liquid metal?  Or is it the old-school robotic one?  Because if it was the former, than it wouldn't really be a contest, as the terminator would just absorb every thing (unless he gets pushed into some molten metal, or hit by an EMP), and if it was the latter, then I think the Spartan would have a pretty good chance of winning, as they have better reflexes and comparable strength and speed.  But if you want to be more specific, if it was Master Chief, and not just any run-of-the-mill Spartan, than the MC would win hands down, because he's a lot better than all of the others.

Duff has a point a liquid metal Terminator would dominate a Spartan. However if Master Chief had a Spartan Laser or maybe some Covenant plasma weaponry then maybe he could win, who knows maybe liquid metal is vulnerable to plasma/lasers?

If they had all the equippment they wanted (Master Chief and the real Schwarzenegger terminator Master Chief would win, run of the mill spartan would lose, and a T-1000 would be equally match with Master Cheif if their is any cover.

I would go with the Terminator in each case regardless of the model. If Master Chief were to win, he would have the best chance against Kristina Loken. He doesnt stand a chance against Robert Patrick or Arnold Schwarzneggar because both those guys are bad ass. Watch Judgement Day and then tell me I am wrong.

The most interesting fight would probably be Chief vs. Ryu.
While true, chief is so much more stronger, could ryu not probably dodge most weapons and deflect the bullet weapons?  spread and plasma weapons are a bit different though

Assuming they were both similarly armed, then I think the terminator. Spartans are good, but they're not robot good.

The things factoring T-800's (Arnold) ability to be victorious is his available weaponry and if the terminator some how got his hands on master chief while he is knocked out or somehow unable to evade or counter rendering T-800's superior strength capable of tearing John apart. Otherwise Johns dexterity, resourcefulness (by itself is enough to offset T-800's available weaponry if it was doubtfully somehow superior), comparable strength, and cunning would be more than enough to bring down the T-800 and other variants of such bulky, slow, and easily fooled constructions from a time in human history would be utterly obsolete to the technology used in the creation of master chief. This is also without the consideration of help from Cortana, considering Master Chief IS capable of being and efficient killer without a hyper advanced AI who can presumably control and wipe out Skynet all together.(If Cortana is capable of interpreting advanced technologies constructed by a race of beings so advanced that they had abilities equivalent of gods, then this is not a stretch by any means) Now, chief against a T-X or T-1000 is a different story and would be no match for the T-X assuming chiefs suits infrastructure wasn't too advanced for the T-X and that the Mjolnir's systems didn't have any defense against nano technology. Considering how advanced humans were in the Halo universe it would be unfeasible to think that such attack wouldnt have been considered possible and that defenses wouldn't have been made for such occasion. Still it would be an interesting battle and even considering Johns resourcefulness he is at a complete disadvantage for the T-X has overcome the weaknesses of the T-800 (Keep in mind a human reprogrammed T-800 was capable of destroying a T-X), as well as always having conceivable technologically advance weaponized shizzle-wizzle in hand, quite literally at that. Now if you want to face John against Skynet all together with no aide except for his own power armor then there would be no contest. However, John would only need one extra resource to utterly destroy Skynet and it machines. That one thing, arguably a living cybernetic being and Chiefs best friend / lover?;is the hyper advanced AI Cortana. Other than that, for the fight to be fair and not the figurative robotic/cybernetic gangbang of Master Chief and all that resembles him youd have to give him some kind of resources and assistance from the Halo universe with a comparable list of abilities and attributes that can at least stand a chance against a Skynet army. Giving that the only way Master Chief would be at a disadvantage was if he was given an army of whatever species that were obviously given to him to give him an obvious disadvantage. (Legion of grunts, brutes, those assholes with the shields, or buggers) Doesnt matter, I'll leave you guys to discuss the numerous amount of possibilities for Spartan 117's demise.
