    The ambiguous magic sword in the original Legend of Zelda has lead to a great deal of speculation over its similarities to the Master Sword. Some believe it is indeed the sword of evil's bane, while others attest that it is simply a powerful sword. I would prefer the former as it provides a connection throughout the series in terms of the Master Sword's significance to Hyrule, but there has never been any conclusive evidence...

    What is your opinion on the matter?

    It's named differently, and I consider it to be a different sword. Unless Nintendo says something, I don't think we should be linking it without sufficient proof.
