The worst WW2 game in recent memory.

A few years ago, my friend and I would get into arguments about which was better: Call of Duty, or Medal of Honor.  The both of us had only ever had the ability to play the PS2 versions of both games.  No matter what was said, it always came down to me saying this: "Sure, the last games weren't so great, but Frontline was the best WW2 game ever!".  EA recently released Airbourne, Vanguard (which, to be honest, I haven't played), and, of course, Heroes 2.  What I'm getting at is that EA hasn't even made an okay game since Frontline!  But I will admit, this game is different than them.  It's worse.
The plot begins with...oh wait.  There is no "plot" to speak of.  I remember cutscenes...I remember a terribly over the top army seargent...there must have been a plot.  I guess it was just too damn stupid and forgettable for me to remember it.
So, anyway, you're some guy with a penchant for being silent and shooting nazis.  The game makes an absolutely terrible first impression by having you storm yet another cliche WW2 beach.  As soon as the game starts, it interupts you with an on-screen message telling you how to play.  (I shoot with the button that feels like a trigger?  I couldn't have figured that one out!)  After skipping what seems like an eternity of these screens, you get to "play".
My first instinct was to stay close to, you know, my side.  We are an army after all.  However, that was a huge $^%*ing mistake.  Your teammates will run right up (and sometimes even through) enemy nazis without either side firing a single shot at each other.  You, the player, obviously don't have this luxury.  Save for the occasional soldier who will die before you shoot him, you have to kill every one of the bad guys by yourself.  That's okay though, because you'll only be with your squad for around 4 missions.  Oh wait.  That's half the single-player campaign.  Guess that's a pretty big problem then, huh?
The enemies themselves range from blind to impossibly good.  Certain soldiers can shoot you through cover, which is extremely annoying because you die.  And dieing means that you have to play this game longer than you probably should, creating mentaly stability issues.
The online is definately the games bread and butter.  It says so on the front of the box.  It has a whopping 32-person multiplayer!  Too bad that doesn't mean anything when the game itself is so terrible.  First you have to make an account with EA which is just plain annoying.  Players contantly glitch, and even in good games it doesn't feel very fun or exciting.  In fact, the most I can say about it is that it felt like I was playing online on my PS2.  Oh, and also, the online mode is graphically messed up.
So guess what?  This game isn't fun.  The interface is terrible, the "arcade mode" is plain lazy, the graphics are ugly, and...what else can I say?  It's a bad game.  I can see how a Wii owner yearning for a good multiplayer experience would play the multiplayer and have an okay time, but other than that this game falls flat on its unoriginal face.

It may have some problems, but this a decent shooter 0

First person shooters on the Wii haven't made much of an impact (bar Metroid Prime 3) so far and Medal of Honor Heroes 2 tries to stop that and puts up a good effort at that. A major pro for the game is the online multiplayer. You play across 6 maps in 6 different modes. You use EA Nation to use the online which is a relief that you don't have to use those damn friend codes. The controls in Heroes 2 work well, very well for that matter. Where most Wii ports fall is in the controls department bu...

Great Controls Can't Make Up For Bland 0

In two or three  years, we'll probably look back and cite this game as the grandfather of a whole slew of FPS for the Wii.  This was the one that proved to the masses that the Wii's controls were perfect for an FPS.  The game controls are absolutely amazing.  They let you have an astounding degree of control and really make you feel much more involved in the game. That said, this game couldn't be more uninspired.  The story comes off-half hearted at best and everything about the game just screams...
