    Overview

Megapanel is a puzzle game for one or two players, released by Namco specifically for the Sega Genesis platform.

The goal of the game is to clear blocks by matching them in lines of three or more of the same color. To do this the player has to move them around the grid using a blank shape which exchanges position with an adjacent block based on the direction the player hits: hitting Up on the D-pad switches the blank square with the one above it, for instance.

The game features a practice mode that teaches the basics, a single-player "pin-up" mode in which an image slowly forms on the right side of the screen as the player eliminates blocks, and a two-player competitive mode where "junk" blocks are sent back and forth.
