I never played the first one and saw this game at 20$, i felt tempted to buy it...
I heard the game was very buggy, is it still? Is it worth it at 20$?
Cheers
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
Game » consists of 11 releases. Released Aug 31, 2008
The sequel to the critically acclaimed Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. Now set in war-torn Venezuela, the player again takes on contracts for various warring factions on a quest for payback.
Still buggy for the pc?
It got fixed enough still for 20$ id buy it. Its fun if you just want to blow things up. And stay alive while dropping a nuke beside you.
No.
Trust me.
It's a waste of money. Don't waste perfectly good dough on this shit. It still hasn't been fixed, and it's a buggy disaster.
Bought the PC version for $10 last summer
Still not even worth it at that price
Not only is it a port, but one that is filled with glitches and bugs
The online is practically dead, and half the time I can't even join someone's game
Even when I do join, it's just so
...........bad
Pandemic only released one patch which fixed only the "big problems" of the game (i.e. random game crashes)
Among other things, there is just so much many flawed gameplay mechanics
If you do buy it, maybe we can play some time together? :D
There really is only one thing that fun in the game
Pissing off all the factions and have them constantly spawn in cities
At the same time, fighting them off with a tank/helicopter combo
" It's sad really because The Saboteur is a really good game. EA fucked em but good. "Ever since Pandemic was bought by EA in 2007, they have been releasing bad games
Although, I still haven't played The Saboteur though, would you recommend it for the PC?
" @SeriouslyNow said:Totally would and the games they made that were bad were because EA kept shifting the goal posts." It's sad really because The Saboteur is a really good game. EA :"Start making a Batman Game Pandemic"
Pandemic :"OK"
EA : HURRY UP or we'll kill off your Brisbane, Australia studio
Pandemic :"Oh shit, but we've only just started."
EA : "We're closing down your Brisbane office because we gave up the Batman license - the Dark Knight is gonna flop and NO_ONE will EVER make a good Batman game, so don't bother"
Pandemic :" But we've done the art assets and a lot of level design and it's only been a few months. What are we gonna tell the Aussies?"
EA : "Yeah we own those assets, don't worry we'll use em somewhere (or sell them off). WHAT ARE YOU GONNA TELL THE AUSSIES? WE DON"T FUCKING KNOW. NOT OUR PROBLEM. YOUR STUDIO, NOT OURS"
Pandemic : "Yeah but that studio was opened because Star Wars : Battlefront was a success and we needed more developers for the sequel! What are their families going to eat?"
EA : "Are you Stupid AND Deaf? NOT OUR PROBLEM. SHUT THEM DOWN...Oh and how's that WWII Assassin's Creed a like coming along, we liked your ideas, sorry if we didn't say it but MAKE THE GAME HAPPEN...RIGHT NOW! You guys are on THIN ICE!"
Pandemic : "OK. Don't worry the game will be great. (fuck, wish we'd stayed indepedent contractors instead being part of Bioware/EA merger)"
EA : "So where's the game E3 is only 6 months away????"
and so on...
I'm canadian and I see this game in stores for $4.99, $20 is too much. I'm sure you can find a cheaper copy elsewhere.
