PS3 version includes download codes for MGS1 and PSP Peace Walker
Seems the PS3 release will be the version to get, as in addition to the transfar capabilities you'll get download codes for the PSN version of MGS1 and the PSP version of Peace Walker. I was already leaning towards getting the PS3 version because I'm so used to playing MGS with a PS controller, but now I'm definitely going with the PS3 version. This might not be true of the American release though, as this was all taken from the Japanese site, and in Japan the PS3/360 release of Peace Walker is a separate product from the HD Collection, which only contains MGS2 and 3 (and 1 on PS3).
Augh, wish I could change the topic title. Didn't notice until after making it that the Japanese site refers to Peace Walker HD and MGS Collection HD as two separate releases. I'd have stuck Japanese before PS3 in the title so people know it's the Japanese version, and not necessarily the American release.
I was wondering what they would do about MGS1, you can hardly have a collection without what is arguably the best one, also seeing as its the linchpin of the Solid series it would need to be represented in some way because if someone bought this new without playing any metal gear games / or prior knowledge of the series they're really not going to make sense, especially if they play it MGS2 > MGS3
also i really just want to take a long weekend and go from MGS1 to MGS4
and i've never played Peace Walker so i'm looking forward to that

But is it the god damn Sub versions for MGS2 and MGS3?!
this is a good question, i hope it is, or they could have made even more changes to each game
If the bonuses stays true for the US release then I will definitely buy the PS3 version.
Also, sometimes I find it weird to be excited for compilations that came out last gen. At least this way ZOE:SR will stop being so rare.
Peace Walker isn't playable on PS3, right?
Its supposed to come with a PS3 version too.
I won't be surprised if there will be a code to download Metal Gear Solid if you buy the game new. In fact if this does have the subs edition of MGS3 I'm going to assume that it will come with MG and MG2. Think about how awesome it would be playing the entire story. MGS3, Peace Walker, MG, MG2, MGS, MGS2, and MGS4.
I'll be ordering this on Amazon for certain.
MGS1 download code as well? That just sweetens the pot...and I already own the damn ps1 game.
I'd like to see it on the 360 version but if it's not I'm not too worried. I have the psn version on my psp and Twin Snakes already. I wish I still had my PS1 copy if for nothing else then the nostalgia factor.
