I don't think this counts as a spoiler because I'm not giving away any story bits 
 
Anyway, so I beat the game and after the credits it has you going back in to get something.  Long story short, I can't get to the spot on the map where it wants me to go.  I know exactly where I'm supposed to go but I can't get to it.  Between me and said location is an elevator.  The door of the elevator is locked.  I tried everything I could think of and scoured the whole room in first person.  I also ran around the entire world again the long way in the hopes that I could find another entrance.  That's an hour and a half I'll never get back. 
 
Does anyone have any advice?  I don't think it's supposed to be this complicated....

and yes i tried a super bomb and every other weapon in my arsenal on basically every square inch of the room

oh wow, so it is supposed to be that complicated haha
