I never owned a GCN. I have a Wii, but haven't played Corruption because I wanted to play the original and Echoes first. It's cool they are releasing the trilogy on the Wii. I don't have to go seraching for the first two releases on the GCN now.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Game » consists of 4 releases. Released Aug 28, 2007
The finale to the Metroid Prime trilogy sees its debut on the Wii.
Have you ever beaten a Metroid Prime game?
If you count Metroid Prime Hunter, the yeah i have beaten one of the games.
Only had the first one (and Hunters) and never actually beat it... been working on it recently.
I guess it's the controls that got to me. They work, but it's just awkward not being able to look up or down while walking. Always ended up falling into some acid or something and getting disoriented. Not to mention later on they throw space pirates at you which, for me, were a real pain.
Still an amazing game though. The best parts for me were just exploring everywhere and scanning things; if there were no enemies in it (besides bosses) I'd still think it was amazing. I'll beat it eventually.
" I've beaten Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 3. I actually only played Metroid Prime 2 for a very short time. If you ask me, Metroid Prime 3 is the best game on the Wii, and Metroid Prime may very well be the best game of last gen overall. "That's pretty much what I've done. Not sure what it was about 2 that didn't keep me hooked, but I didn't even play it long enough to experience the whole light world/dark world thing.
I think I favor the first game over the third, though.
I've owned all three but have only finished Corruption. I almost finished the first one but didn't even get half-way through Echoes.
Played 1 and 3. Never beat either of them. I was farther in 3 though. Oh, well I did beat Hunters if that counts - but that game pretty much sucks. I played pinball too, which was actually a lot of fun.
They seem like fine games, but they just weren't really doing it for me the way the 2D ones did.
You know I loved super metroid, but never played any of the prime games. I have considered picking up the wii package that contains all three games though since its a badass deal.
I haven't. I couldn't defeat meta-ridley on MP1. I'm really tempted to buy the trilogy for Wii though. Seems like it'd be super fun with the new control style.
I beat 1 and 2 multiple times each, but I just couldn't beat the third when I got to the part when you had to backtrack and collect energy cells. Maybe I'll go back and finish it some day.
Just beat the first one yesterday. I'm planning on buying the second one sometime this week. Final boss was awesome though the whole artifact hunt seemed a bit unnecessary to me. If they were trying to promote exploring and uncovering more items and upgrades, I didn't need a forced mechanic to do so.
"Why WOULDN'T someone beat all the Metroid Primes? It's a sweet storyline, and on top of that, it's not like the games are that hard to begin with. = / "
Ok, you know what! Im tired of you people opressing those of us who have a hard time with logic. Changing into a ball and jumping in a vent to hit a switch, is surprisingly difficult. You just do not understand!
But ive only really played 3, and i got kinda bored because i got stuck, couldn't figure out what i did wrong, kept backtracking, and got lost. Also, i hate tht sense of lonelyness in Metroid, it makes it a very cold game to get into.
