    Might & Magic Heroes VI is the sixth installment in the long running spin-off of the Might & Magic saga. This is the first game of the series to be developed by Black Hole Entertainment.

    HoMM VI is coming out this year. Anyone else excited? I know, I know, you can talk about how the last two games sucked and HoMM III was the last good game. I'm just going to quietly hope that HoMM VI is at least solid.

    I didn't even know there was a sixth one coming out.
     
    It's probably best that I don't get excited about it, since I probably won't be able to play it.

    oh man I loved HoMM3. I played the demo over and over and over because I could never find the retail version anywhere when I was a kid.

    You are speaking to Giant Bomb's only resident Might and Magic fan. Even though I'm one of the blasphemers who actually enjoyed Heroes V, I'm not especially anticipating this one. It's partially because I know my computer can't run it, but I also am not entirely convinced that the dramatic changes they are making to make it more strategic will pan out into something I will enjoy. Consider me cautiously optimistic.

    I lost interest in the franchise after IV but VI looks it might just be able to loop me back in. The creature designs and overall aesthetic look slightly less cliché and 'clean' than HoM&M V's were.

    No, I actually enjoyed Heroes V, too. The game was quite challenging, and I liked it.  Honestly, I also somewhat enjoyed Heroes IV (even though it wasn't nearly as good as HoMM III was, and I didn't like all of the changes.)

    Depends on whether or not you like turn-based strategy games. You have to be a bit more patient than RTS games like Starcraft, Warhammer, AoE, etc. I think TBS games are more of an acquired taste. Either you like them or you don't.

    @ArbitraryWater: I also like V not sure about VI as I've heard nothing only seen it on steam so not sure what they are going to do to mix it up or make vamps less op (my flatmate always plays with them as the main unit of his armies)

    I didn't even know this series existed past 3, but doesn't seem like I missed much. I will definitely want to try this when it comes out.
