how do you plant trees on the 360 version? I looked at the wiki I dont understand it. I planted a sap like you would do for wheat played for a few hours came back and nothing happened. There is very little trees in my world so I need to get this working.

They need to have sunlight and space to grow. You could also use bonemeal to grow them.

No water or farmland needed. Put the sapling where a tree could grow. In a spacious area outdoors . If you want to plant other sapping near by space them out 3 spaces. Like so, SOOOS. S are for sapling, O are for whatever blocks. Also they must be planted on dirt. If you wish you can craft bones (obtained by killing skeletons.) place it on the sapling (Lt) back off and it grows automatically. If it doesn't don't put more it means the tree can't grow there.

Create some bonemeal and try using it on the sapling

I had some trouble getting trees to grow if I had dirt in one square next to the sapling. Using bonemeal wouldn't make it grow either. I removed the dirt and used bonemeal again and it grew perfectly.

Make sure to plant it in untilled dirt. Meaning don't use a hoe or anything.
