Solar Fields and EA have finally released the soundtrack to Catalyst. Maybe it took so long because it is over 5 hours of music! I did a double-take when he posted that it was "5+ hours, 32 tracks". I was expecting it to be around the same length as the first game's 80-minute soundtrack.

I have to confess that I haven't played the game, though. After the GB guys were pretty down on it, I decided to skip it and maybe pick it up later on sale. I was really only in it for the soundtrack anyway.

And... a big fuck you to 7Digital UK, who won't take my money because I should "pay with a card that has been issued in this store's country." :( Their US store doesn't have it yet, although I guess it will soon? Don't live in one of the approved countries? Guess you can settle for MP3s or pirate the FLAC. Ugh, the music industry continues to be the absolute worst...

I enjoyed the game quite a bit, the soundtrack and aesthetic were the high points for me. So this is an instant buy.

Solar fields were involved? That explains the great ambient music.

Edit: oh they did the music for Mirrors Edge 1 as well, also great.

Awesome, I've been waiting for this. I don't remember as many standout tracks compared to the first game (like The Shard), but I need to listen through it again. Anchor was one of my favorite areas to enter and run through because of the ambient music that kicks in.

Thanks. I've been waiting for this. Also, 7Digital seems to have a higher quality version of Mirror's Edge's soundtrack as well (albeit under the artist of EA, not Solar Fields) so I grabbed that too.
