Is anybody going to pick this up for the PC?
I know I am.
I'm not sure actually. No matter how the graphics and the design amaze me I find it pretty sterile. I'm well aware that that is the meaning, with a futuristic police regime in control over a big city and all. But it isn't enough for me, I need something more than white walls, white floor, white buildings and blue skies (however lucky I am that it isn't Gears of War greyish). I mean sure, you can steal weapons, you can kick some cop ass with your parkour skills, but I imagine it can get pretty repetitive pretty fast.
Alas, most games today are kind of repetitive. I'll most likely not buy it, but then again I haven't bought a game in ages. Nor played one. I mostly dabble in games nowadays. Yay.
"FalseDeity said:I was speaking more along the lines of gameplay."I'll scan the reception to see how fast I should buy it. It's an excellent engine to wrap a compelling story around.I believe it's running on UE3 not DICE's proprietary Frostbite engine. If that's what you meant."
I recommend the game as a rental, since it should only take you approximately two days to finish the storyline (and no, it wouldn't be two days of playing non-stop like a madman). That might turn a couple people off, but seriously, it's worth the rental. Fantastic game, just not enough content to warrant a purchase.
