Characters that are described and interact with the character primarily or only via audio (most often through dialogue, but usually also using some audio effects). As opposed to cutscenes which often emulate film, the way aural characters are presented in games often more closely parallels radio dramas and other audio-exclusive media.
A guild is a group of people who are expert at a skill or task and have banded together for ease of employment. In games guilds take many forms, from massive societies of real people in MMOs, to simple places to level up and receive quests in most RPG's
Sometimes a character will come up on your HUD to tell you an important piece of information. This usually consists of voice acting, occasionally Full Motion Video, and is pretty useful when you need to learn about things like doing barrel rolls.
When a picture just can't get the point across, teach with videos.
Objectives that aren't required in order to win a scenario or mission. Completing optional objectives may, however, grant the player benefits such as items, shortcuts or additional assistance.
