D-Block Predicts the Future of Call of Duty
Edited By jeff
Not since up-and-comer Charles Hamilton released his Staff Development mixtape with Sonic and Shadow on the cover have the worlds of games and hip-hop come together so succinctly. But in what can only be seen as further proof that rappers love video games, D-Block (you may remember them better as The L.O.X.) have released a new mixtape of its own:
Obviously, this has to be an official mixtape that is announcing the subtitle of the new Call of Duty game that Infinity Ward is making. Modern Warfare? Psssh. Modern-day is for chumps. Let's take that business straight to the NEXT GENERATION. First Officer Jadakiss, report to the Holodeck! Belay that order, Number One!
Hmm. It's probably irresponsible of me to sarcastically claim that this has anything to do with the game. Oh well. If you're absolutely bent on hearing the D-Block do its thing, you can listen to this smoking burner over at datpiff.com.

This is something I love about the Mixtape direction that hip-hop has taken. A bunch of cool and very creative covers to be found.
