Seriously, is it just me or is this game way too fast on PC. I spend my time tapping F more than actually playing, please explain to me how people find this fun? It feels so two dimensional, weapons all feel and play like they dish out the same mono effect. How are you supposed to play MW2 in a way which extracts enjoyment out of the whole experience?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Game » consists of 22 releases. Released Nov 10, 2009
The sequel to 2007’s wildly successful first-person-shooter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues the story of American and British soldiers fighting Russian ultra-nationalist forces.
Modern Unfunfare?
Just not a game for you I guess. Things like that happen sometimes.
For me the game if fun enough to even just enjoy watching my younger brother play and own noobs all day long on the 360 or just start quickscoping for the fun of it.
It's fast pace (compared to other recent realistic shooters) is one of the major draws for a lot of people.
I personally enjoy BFBC2 more, but MW2 is still hella fun.
Do you think they actually engineered the experience to be frustrating and overly slick at the same time? Raising a sense of inadequacy and therefore sustaining an urgent wanting need to keep repeating the process in order to somehow escape the mechanic?!
If you are getting a sense of inadequacy while playing the game , then maybe the problem is that you are just bad at it? In that case there is only 2 options: get better to start enjoing it or stop playing." Do you think they actually engineered the experience to be frustrating and overly slick at the same time? So you are saying - more aggressive and accurate twitching equals a less gay time spent dying allot anyway?" @astromanz said:

No it equals less gay time and dying much less, learning the maps and thinking strategically about your positioning, flanking vulnerabilities and firing lines also helps a lot.
" @astromanz: No it equals less gay time and dying much less, learning the maps and thinking strategically about your positioning, flanking vulnerabilities and firing lines also helps a lot. "Less "gay time"? This must be some game concept I'm not familiar with.
" It's certainly not fun, if you can't handle the speed of the game, that's true. It takes skill to play the game well. It's a bit like Counter-Strike. You actually need to be able to aim, and react on a splitsecond's notice. Some people find that fun. I find that fun. "lol skill?
This game is mainly luck. Yes, it helps to be able to shoot but most of the time it's just getting lucky spawns and avoiding the shit falling from the sky. The game punishes you for getting lots of kills by spawning people behind you to get the 'payback' kills. It's a game of luck.
MW2 basically turned me off from all "realistic" shooters. If the only fun to be had is the ego trip effect of a kill streak then how can anyone expect to have fun and not feel like a douche-bag.
A game with no variety or room for improvisation is a game I don't want to play.
" @astromanz: Why are you tapping F? "To respawn, something none of us pros have to use.
this game is too slow period, if you are going from console MW2 it is alot faster (like me).

I'm not saying the game is perfect, far from it. But MAINLY luck? don't be silly.

It's a fun game but the fast pace takes a few hours to get used to. I did play it on console and it was way faster than BF BC2.
As for not dying, that part is mostly about your mentality and positioning, and less about actual aiming. Here's a few tips: Take is slow and use silencer and claymores. It's also a good idea to stay away from the center of a map. That's where frustrated, mindless players run, and that way you don't get flanked as much.
" Wow did you spend all night coming up with that thread title? "Time well spent if you ask me :P

Jesus why don't you "It's just luck" losers just fuck off! If you're getting more deaths than kills every round it's because you suck and should find a new game.
" I don't see a reason why a PC gamer should play MW2 when he has CS Source. "I got to say I agree with this statement. I tried playing MW2 online, and hated it. I wasn't doing bad at it either, just didn't care for the game. So I stopped playing it (Spec Ops was fun though). I played CS:S for the first time in a couple of months yesterday, and I still say that is one of the best FPS experiences to date. I just wish they did away with that stupid "beta" update.
