Modern Warfare 2 reveal trailer is out!
Cool. Looks to be as cinematic in presentation as CoD4. I just hope for further gameplay variety and innovations....not just more of the same endless enemy respawning, frag spaming, tired conventions of the previous games. But it is IW, so I bet it will bring new dynamics and a very good sp experience. And how they'll further build on their very sucessfull mp component will be interesting.
The guy closing the garage door halfway through looks exactly like turok.
Anyway the game looks amazing.
Holy shit, that's insanely amazing, and the graphics are outstanding. I think the first terrorist has a AA12 shotgun :O.
Doesn't really look any prettier than MW 1, but it doesn't have to.
Hopefully it is as good as the first (or hopefully better). I think they're trying to throw too many new elements into it though, a bit risky if you ask me.
I'm really hoping that they make a sniping level like "Ghillies in the Mist" from COD4 that takes place in the mountain climbing portion. Would take me back to the "Surface" level from GoldenEye 007 for the N64. =)
Looks great. The models, textures and levels are beautiful. The big explosions could be better. They're certainly not resting on their laurels. The technical aspects appear similar to COD4 (which was already fantastic) probably to keep the frame rate high (I hate how inconsistent 30fps is the trend this gen) but their art has certainly improved and is on par with pretty much the best things out there. There appears to be more acition on screen as well, though that will depend on the level and scene of course. Still, this is very promising stuff.
Anyway, I'm more excited for the gameplay changes than the graphical changes. I must be in the minority...
Still, I dunno why people expect sequels in the same generation to somehow provide 10x as good graphics. if they do that, it means the first game was rushed and not as good as it could have been, imo. It's been a while since current gen consoles were out, there's not that much "hidden potential" left or something. The best on a given system right now is probably gonna be similar to the best on the system at the end of its lifetime, technically. Improvements will be thanks to art direction and budget than finding a glyph that opens some magically locked part.
Well, I'll be getting this on PC anyway, so I'm glad they keep the same efficiency and art over exorbitant specifications thing going, even if it's done to cater to consoles, as this way I'll be able to run it @ max res with all filters and effects on and no hitches... Specs race isn't a good thing.
The graphics still look poor, and it seems like they're resting on their laurels.
You gotta be thankful. A game that looks TONS better then a game from the Source engine actually maintains such a superior framerate on a damn console.
AWEsome, looks like it will be action packed and diverse when it comes to gameplay. Locations like the favella's of Rio should be a interesting experience..
The graphics still look poor, and it seems like they're resting on their laurels.
By the way get the download version from the official website... Much nicer in actual high fps as opposed to the flash streams... It has a few screens too but the game's unimpressive in stills really, it's all the awesome action, lighting, animations, etc that make it impressive.
