Wow, free download of first COD. Great deal. For those of you late to the game, the first COD was easily one of the best shooters in the past decade. Incredibly addictive multiplayer, but I'm not sure if it will play as well without a mouse and keyboard.

I dunno, I think that the most expensive edition always seem to be the disappointing one. I think I'd stick with the hardened version...

I have to admit that the goggle idea is pretty smart on the part of Infinity Ward or Activision or whoever, because as soon as i heard about this through the giant bomb twitter i was like HOLLY SHIT NOW FUCKING WAY!!! But after seeing that video I realized anyone who doesnt see that they are getting ripped off is pretty stupid or maybe just naive. Just from watching that video you can completely tell that the goggles are poor quality at best. Plus the fact that you dont even know how good they work makes it hard to know what your buying. Just like a bunch of people thought that the Halo 3 Master Cheif head would actually be wearable and then it turned out to be nothing but a display item, people are actually gonna buy into this and they are gonna make TONS of extra money for no reason. Even if you didnt think the Master Cheif head was wearable do you actually think these are REAL NIGHT VISON GOGGLES. Dont get me wrong it be pretty cool to have real ones, but dont come crying to me when you spend an extra 40, 50, 60 dollars w.e. for something that is nothing more than a display item that seems uterly stupid unless you know COD. Not to mention the fact that you will prbly be able to buy those goggles on ebay 6 months later for like 10 bucks.

Why does anyone care about the art work in a shooting game, if i wanted to see what a gun looked like i just go to a place that sells them so even more stupid are the people paying extra for a metal case with a little bit cooler cover and an art booklet. This is just another incident of clever marketing to the American consumer who will undoubtedly buy anything no matter how pointless it is as long as they think it looks cool, a point proven by the fact that sky mall even excists.

Original COD is the only thing actually worth money in there.

night vision goggles, if decent at all, start at atleast like $300 (but even cheaper ones that work OKAY go for 100-200 range)

Army grade NVGs cost about like 250 to 300 at the least so if anyone actually thinks they are getting real goggles plz do us all a favor and slap yourself in the face.

but i really like it bc it's a representation of military gear, and something i can show people of how some crazy marketing manager came up with this idea and got away with it.

really tempted to getting it.  will wait for more information and closer to launch date to see what happens.

A pair of shitty night vision goggles costs about $100 (give or take), so either this package is going to cost $200 or those are the world's worst night vision goggles. Or both.

Hmmm... I wonder... If this is remotely afordable, I will do this, for sure. Those goggles are actually useful. Even if their poor quality, they will be cheap. I doubt many gamers would actually want really good high end gear like that xD And those that would want that stuff, like for any reason other then the 2 hour "lulz" factor, already have that stuff.

Thats so awesome, I loved the original COD so much. I hope they dont redefine the graphics to much on it though, because then it would lose its nostalgic feel.
