Oh sure, technically we've already had a first look at the follow up to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, most recently thanks to a fifteen second teaser featuring actual gameplay. But we have a feeling that Game Informer's look at Modern Warfare 2 is details-packed—far more informative than the highly stylized teaser trailer from GDC.

The magazine also promises a look at another Activision-published title—the only other game appearing on the Activision-exclusive cover—with DJ Hero getting first look treatment.

Subscribers should hurry up and wait for the June issue to hit their mailboxes!

I could live with another COD4 to be honest. COD4 ticked all my boxes in all the right columns for me. So if MW2 can do the same, great. If it can do the same but better, then awesome!

I'll be buying it either way.

I don't want to scuba dive in a first person shooter.

If you guys want hype, check out this weeks Bonus Round on Gametrailers.  The editor of Gamepro claims MW2 is a clear contender for Game of the Year, a bold claim this early on.  I'm betting Infinity Ward will really make this game exceptional.

Read more thoroughly before you make inflammatory comments. He said, "just another FPS in the crowd", which implies that it has the potential to be average or amazing. Nowhere does "crap" factor into that."

Infinity Ward make polished games, maybe not revolutionary or "special", but spit-shined to a gleaming polish unlike any company, barring maybe Blizzard

Just go out and buy the magazine. Game Informer is awesome.

Also, let's not forget that Infinity Ward has never made a game that sucks. It's highly unlikely they'd make a game like this bad.

Game informer is in no way awesome. The only reason it stays in business is because they give you those stupid discount cards you never use with it

The only way to get it in the U.K is import, and that shit is EXPENSIVE.
