I am very indifferent. Maybe 2/10, because I am only interested in seeing how the sales turn out, and not the actual game.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Game » consists of 22 releases. Released Nov 10, 2009
The sequel to 2007’s wildly successful first-person-shooter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues the story of American and British soldiers fighting Russian ultra-nationalist forces.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how excited are you?
The PC thing kind of a damper, but I'm playing it on a console. The thing that has me totally pissed off and almost not wanting to even buy the game is the homophobic slur that I will not repeat video, that was not even fucking funny. Also, no party chat, really? I'm sitting a 3/10, and I've played all the Infinity Ward Call of Duties since the first on the PC. "This guy's got it down to a science.
" Seriously speaking, 10 being the most excited I could be? I'm probably 2.5/10. If I had the game in my hands for the first time I'd probably be around 7/10. No insult to the game, but I've been more hyped in the past. "I'm pretty much along these lines. Lets take UC2. The hype train for that was amazing, because the reviews were great. 24 perfect reviews.
It seems like the hype for MW2 is just because its MW2. It's less than a week away and I have yet to hear people drooling over it like they were over UC2.
6/10. Slightly above average. I have my PS3 pre-order all bought and paid for, going to pick it up at midnight, but I've been more excited over games that wouldn't seem as popular.
" @RHCPfan24 said:Because it's derogatory term against gay people and the fact that Infinity Ward thought this video was somehow at all okay is fucking ridiculous. That being said, as completely preposterous as that video was, I'm still very, very excited." @natetodamax said:Why were you offended by the FAGS video? Just curious, because I found it more humorous than I did offensive. "" @RHCPfan24 said:Well, all that PC shit is definitely a reason. On top of that, I was offended by the FAGS video they made as well as the airport scene that has been leaked. I probably will play that latter scene but I find it unnecessary. "" Right now, I am probably sitting at a 6.5/10. I preordered it and am definitely pumped to play it, but Infinity Ward isn't exactly leaving a good impression with me at the moment. "Why? "
" @natetodamax said:I don't see why it would offend anyone. According to the dictionary it doesn't have any negative connotations. I'm bisexual, and it doesn't offend me. I don't see how a homosexual would be offended by a word that means you're tired." @RHCPfan24 said:Because it's derogatory term against gay people and the fact that Infinity Ward thought this video was somehow at all okay is fucking ridiculous. I'm curious to know out of all the people complaining about the word fag how many have ever used the word bastard or retard(ed)?
You hear "thats retarded" and "you bastard" all the time, even from the people who get their panties in a bunch about fag.
Funny how a word can get so many people down. Weren't you taught "sticks and stones" as kids? It's just a word and the more you take offence to it the more bullies will use it against you. You stop taking offence and they won't get any pleasure out of it, hence it will stop.
12/10, looking forward too everything. But of course, the multiplayer is what I'm most looking forward too.
dude its in motherfucking space, how could one not be completely pumped? The FAGS video was a tiny bit tasteless but was still enjoyable(only to me apparently). But was anybody offended with the US government and The War Against Terror, or TWAT? just sayin'
I was pretty excited, just cause i knew the multi was gonna be awesome, but after they decided to pump up all the single player im totally stoked.
i want to ride around on snowmobiles while shooting people
1/10, this game does nothing for me. Too realistic for my taste. I would rather play Halo 3 or ODST.
8/10 because
This game is gonna be great, but no party chat means I have to be called noob by people under 18 alot...But stiil there is
10/10 I'm going to go pick it up at midnight and i'm dreaming about this game at night, this is how much i am excited
A giant fucking 0 out of 10 because the game seems like it is being designed to attract the exact type of people I hate to run into online. I am interested in the single player a little, the single player in COD4 was pretty cool(although I thought exponentially overrated). I wouldn't really be hurt if I never got to play it, but I'm sure I'll run through the single player once... I just wish that IW didn't come off as pricks... I might be more interested in it.
That's because Kevin VanOrd is a sensitive man-bitch." @natetodamax: Kevin VanOrd pretty much summed it up via Twitter yesterday. They just use the word "fag" as meaning something derogatory, a big misnomer in today's world/online community. And IW isn't even apologizing over it too. =/ "
