Should have put an Option C: On The Fence because I believe that's where I am with this game right now. I'm leaning towards single player though, because I want to experience the game's story and potentially new feel before I go online.

Definitely at least an hour or so of single-player, but I play these games for multiplayer. Never even got past the carnival defense in COD4. Got bored and went to play Headquarters.

As for pretty much every game, I play the single player, then the multiplayer. I will probably go to the multiplayer before I beat the SP, but MP waits.

Single player. I do that for all the games, but not because I feel like I need to get used to the game.  I just prefer single player.

usually i save the single player for when my friends aren't on live, so ilI probably give the mp a go first, because most my friends are getting it on the games release date.

Who said that? That seems very unlikely due to the amount of people that have 1000/1000 gamerscore for the game.

Try out some single-player, then hit up the multiplayer. Just like I did in COD4.

Meh, I could have the percentage wrong, but I read somewhere that there were a lot of people who had never touched the single player. Besides that fact, I still don't have 1000/1000 for COD4 :/

Well, neither do I because Veteran is impossible for me. Still, I've played the Campaign several times. I've even beat Mile High Club on Veteran.

I find that if you play multiplayer first it ruins sp.  For example if there was an insanley cool looking snow level it could be showcased much better in a structured environment of single player than in a chaotic MP game where you will be headshotted before you even check out those cool snow effects.  MP maps can also ruin plot points ----KZ2 SPOILERS----
such as the post nucler detonation map in KZ2.

SP. Then MP until i hit the highest rank. Then got back to SP to finish all the achievements, then get pissed while beating vet. Beat vet, 100% ach...never play the game again because i have it after playing vet.

Single Player. I do that with all games. I like the joy of going through the story, discovering all the new gameplay features and weapons slowly and structurely. Then I'll start playing MP after about 1 week of finishing the SP.

It mostly depends on the game. If I'm familiar with the genre, I might be quicker to jump into multiplayer. Sometimes, I never even touch the multiplayer.
