    Monkey Island is a location of great importance in the Monkey Island series, hence why the series takes its name from it. This island is inhabited by a village of cannibals and monkeys, other than that, This island is fairly empty. The southern part of the island is covered in jungle, and the western part has a live volcano and at the eastern end of the island rests a the Famous Giant Monkey Head. Once the Volcano went live the Island was seperated by a river of lava.
