I was watching some older GB vids recently and came across the MK9 scrub league tournament. I remember watching it when it happened and loved every minute of it. Going back and watching it though I noticed how excited everyone was involved and how they kept talking about doing more In the future but as far as I know I haven't seen any?

Anyway I was just thinking it would be a great idea for them to do one when MKX drops next month, they could involve the gamespot guys, get some guests in and hopefully Jeff will play this time as having Jason around might be enough competition for him.

If the idea gets some momentum maybe it'll catch they're attention.

bah! that's too bad. i could see a lack of fellow amateurs putting off potential participants- but nonetheless i'd love to see a tournament involving the bomb crew and some friendly faces such as kish, danny, peter brown, etc.

So there are no scrubs, fine. Make it a MKX Amateur League then, I don't care. Just hoping it happens with a similar format to the last one.

Just when did it become distasteful to throw some money at homeless people to get them to fight each other in Kombat? I'm just saying, if the bombcrew don't qualify as scrubs any more, there are other wells they could draw from.

Fighting games are actually very popular with a lot of the CBSi engineering staff, so I'm sure a lot of them are well above scrub level.

@chaser324: I've seen enough QL's to know better. I think Jeff's definition of a "scrub" differs from mine. You can be of some relative competence and still be considered a scrub. It's okay, the game is brand new, we're all scrubs. There's no need for him to have a chip on his shoulder about it.

I remember how hyped the whole crew was for MK9. There isn't any energy among them for MKX. I hope they do a scrub league, especially now that they have Jason.
