Game looks great and the carnage looks fantastic but GF sits next to me sometimes when I play games.. she wouldn't tolerate the gore. Is there an option to disable it?

There is a Kombat Kode that turns off Blood (900 900 I think) but no for the normal game.

if you want to turn off the gore return the game. MK is not the game to play around girly girls

Yeah there's a kode in the krypt that turns off blood... i'm not gonna lie, this game has made me a little squeamish... after seeing so many blood and guts...its a little ...much lol

Better yet, find some good 1970's-90s horror films (like Re-Animator, Dead & Buried, Evil Dead 1 & 2, Alien, the Hunger, the Howling & many more I can't think of at the moment) watch a lot of those with your girlfriend. Pretty soon everyone in the immediate vicinity will not be that offended to see all the blood & gore in the new MK game.

I'd just avoid playing the game when she's around. I wouldn't hold it against her, either. Just like there are certain films your girlfriend wouldn't want to see on a date (have fun showing her A Serbian Film), the same can be said about games. 

Either don't play it while she is around or just tell her to deal with it.

Eh, play something else around the GF. You obviously know her best OP, and if you know she'll get uncomfortable around MK then don't play it around her.

it's a given I can play when she's not around. And by "tolerate" I just mean she'd walk away and do some other activity. Don't see it as being whipped, but whatevs. We had quality time playing through Portal 2 together and now seems keen to play games/watch me play games.
If there's an option to take off gore I'd add MK to thr list of games she might be interested in. If not I'll play w/o her.

It seems however that there isn't any option for you but to not play it with her around. Try Portal 2? My girlfriend was hooked on watching me play that.
