So Skarlet is finally playable (at least on the PSN, I've been hearing that XBL is having issues with the pack) and I'm wondering what you all of your first impressions are.  
 
In the little bit I've messed around with her in training mode, I have two main takeaways; her damage is really weird and she has the largest and most complicated move list in the game.  
 
The second one is pretty self explanatory. She has a tone of moves, a ton of fast tags, and a tone of specials. She has some of the most complex strings and adaptive specials. The the first is a bit stranger. Simply put, the damage of her attacks are all over the place. Her u3 into uppercut is 2 hits for 20%, and yet some of her strings barely break double digits. She really seems more focused on long juggles, giving her a quick overhead launcher that has a pretty long reach.  
 
Overall, I'm feelin' her. I've been looking for someone to move onto since I've kind of grown tired of Sektor, and playing a rushdown character will be a nice change of pace.

I find the lack of an alternate costume a bit strange.
I don't know if it is glitch or if it is hidden or if she just doesn't have one.

Did a solid patch also come out with the DLC?

From what I've seen, she's REALLY into blood... its creepy, her babality she gets a bottle of milks and rejects it and opts for a bottle of blood lol

Her fatalities are nothing short of REVOLTING.

She's different, a bit hard to combo with, has interesting moves, her X-Ray is a bit weak. She's going to take some work getting used to, but she's not just a palette swap of moves or anything. She's completely unique.

What's her X-ray like, guys? I saw the videos of her fatalities/babality, but I didn't see this anywhere.

She's fun. My wife was grossed out at the alt fatality, which was amusing.

Shes a lot of fun to play. I think shes going to be my new main.

Eli Roth would be proud of her fatalities, that's for sure.

@onimonkii: I've had Kung Lao's x-ray hit with the spin part, but then the enemy lands on the wrong side of him and the rest whiffs.

i've been hit by it jumping over her, when i was already pretty much behind her, but it didn't trigger the actual xray animation i just took a little damage, like a normal or something. super weird.

Yeah. It reminds me of a few moves Shao Kahn has where the hitbox doesn't appear to, but actually does, cover cross-up jumps.

Apparently not... I checked my Xbox360's store and everything is out on that system. As someone who own the PS3-version of the game... I feel kind of neglected by Netherrelm... 

I like her a lot. Im still trying to piece combos.

I will say one thing about her. That teleport attack needs to be punishable like every other teleport attack in the game.

Just bought her today.  My first impressions: very favorable.  She seems like a cross between Scorpion and Mileena/Kitana.  I think she fits in with the rest of the group just as well as Juri did in SSFIV.
 
There's nothing incredibly special about her, but she fits my playing style, she's really fast and I like that...I tend to be way more offensive, and I've found it really easy to overwhelm people with quick combos into her X-ray, and easy to find good ways to chain combos into special moves and juggle them around some.  I'm not a great MK player, but I approve because she was easy for me to adapt to from the very start, and I like her move set, she's just a fun character to play.
 
I like her first fatality, simple, straightforward. She turns the opponent into a pez dispenser basically.  I know MK is all about going balls-to-the-wall with creative and often ridiculous violence, but I also like it when they realize they don't have to go over the top with every single fatality, it's nice to see a fairly practical one every once in a while.  Short and sweet.
Her second fatality, more elaborate, kinda ridiculous, but oh yeah, this is Mortal Kombat.  She bathes in blood but it's not as off-putting as Mileena sensually rubbing her opponent's blood on her body and getting off on it.
 
And compared to the rest of the females in the game, her cleavage is much more discreet, which I like.  I mean I love boobs, don't get me wrong, but I think they went way overboard with everyone else's bust size.  In Mileena's case it kinda makes her look silly, and Sonya too.  But, great game, I let it slide.  Skarlet's a solid character in my opinion.
