Mount Your Friends Review
Mount Your Friends is a wacky physics game centered around attaching men with a large floppy dong to other men with similarly large floppy dongs. Originally released on XBLA, Stegersaurus Software Inc.'s modern-day masterpiece has finally been released on Steam with a variety of new game modes to try out. The game is obviously meant to be played at parties, much like Rock Band or Guitar Hero used to be, and with its homoerotic tones it most certainly can be a source of much laughter. However, the PC release of the game seems out of place as you probably aren't going to have people cram around you monitor to play Mount Your Friends in the same way people might play it on a TV at a party. The game can be fun to mess around with friends, but from what I assume has to do with the flopping dongs, the game suffers some lag issues online. This isn't really a problem since the game is turn-based, but it results in the other player looking jittery when they move. You'll probably play the game for an hour or two at most, then move onto something else, but for a $5 game it can provide a lot of laughs at a party or with a friend when drunk. In an age where video games are trying to be considered art, Mount Your Friends provides an escape from the tedium that are video games nowadays.
[A lot of the modes in the game require the use of a controller and several are not able to be played online. The normal mode for the game can be played with a keyboard similarly to how QWOP mixed with GIRP might play.]
