One of the Best Baseball Games I Have Played
MVP Baseball 2005 includes Exhibition, Dynasty Mode, Owner Mode, Mini Games, a Home Run Derby type mode, Manager Mode, and a Scenario Editor. This game includes all three levels of the Minor Leagues, and when you play throughout a season you can move players up or down through the leagues. Pitching is pretty intuitive. You press the correct button for the certain type of pitch you want to pitch and there is a meter that shows you when to release the button. To hit you press the swing button and the direction you want to swing (up for undercut swing, down for swinging on top of the ball, left to pull the ball for right-handed swingers and away for left-handed batters.) In Dynasty Mode you can take control of a team for up to 125 seasons. You can unlock stadiums, teams, and uniforms. This game is really a quality game loaded with different kinds of modes, all three minor league levels, and nice touches such as warming up a pitcher before he is put on the field and mound visits. This game is really an improvement on MVP Baseball 2003 and 2004, and it's a shame EA Sports won't be making MLB games for a while.
