    The protagonist's cousin in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. He is a master of computer programming and was responsible for the creation of the special COMPs capable of summoning demons.

    Overview

    Naoya is the older cousin of the protagonist in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. He is a skilled programmer and is credited with creating the modified COMPs used to summon and control demons as well as the COMP server for the Shomonkai.

    He is very supportive of the protagonist, and he doesn't hesitate to help him unless it's blatantly against his wishes (i.e.: Following Amane's story route). His true wish is to make his cousin the king of Bel, and wage war against God.

    In Amane and Naoya's paths, Naoya is revealed to be the reincarnation of Cain, the first son of Adam and Eve. His cousin, the protagonist, is revealed to be the reincarnation of Cain's brother Abel. Naoya, being the reincarnation of Cain, wishes to use his cousin to fight against God as an act of revenge. Naoya, as Cain, claims to bear no hatred towards Abel, but rather towards God for favoring Abel over himself.
