My friend just bought this game, and something strange happens when he inputs the cd-key into steam to activate it, he gets a message saying that he needs some other game to activate this.

So steam seems to think his game is an expansion pack or something. Anyone have any experience with this?

Yeah, I've had some problems with the PC version of General Discussion too. 
 
 
This, plus the fact that it lacks dedicated servers, made me throw it away in disgust.

I'm pretty sure its a bug, i've been seeing it around alot lately.. so u cant blame him :)

Oh, I'm definitely not blaming him for the bugs. The developers obviously didn't care enough about what the testers said in beta. They just wanted to milk the General Discussion franchise. "
