    Just got this game off a friend and so downloaded the update on the PS3 but it would lock up at the opening screen that shows all the team logos. I could hear the opening cinematic but then it would finish and none of the buttons would work. I ended up deleting the game file so the update wasn't downloaded.
     
    Anyone had this issue?

    I play on the 360, but I was just playing yesterday without issue.

    @muttjones: You know what? I remember having a similar issue. It was months ago, before the latest update. It would freeze at the same spot as you mentioned unless I signed out when I started the game, and then signed into Live after I was in the team select screen. Maybe try that. Again, I'm on the 360, so I can't be sure of anything PS3 related on this front.
