To be honest, while I played NBA Jam as a kid, I have no interest in playing this version of it.  I do, however, have an interest in NBA Elite 11 so I guess it is a win-win for me.

Well that's bullshit. I was looking forward to the online play of XBLA, but there's no way I'm buying some shitty $60 OTHER game just to get a gimped version of the game I want.

I have to agree with most everyone else: NBA Jam HD is not worth 60 bucks. However, I still have my Wii and will be picking up the version coming out there.  Even if it's not in HD, I still want to play against the legends.

This just doesn't seem right, but I'm still gonna get it.

I'll stick with the Wii version for one reason. I have four Wii Remotes and Nunchuks, and NBA Jam is the kind of game I want to play with people sitting next to me, in my living room.

What a wierd ass way to sell a game. Pay a full $60 for the Wii version you'll never play online? Get a better looking version for free on PS3/360 but it's gimped and you need to buy their crappy $60 NBA game too? What is the actual value of this thing, and when can I just get me fully featured downloadable HD copy?

Hopefully it will be on the marketplace months after Elite doesn't sell. (like all other exclusives)

Wow that sucks. If NBA Jam HD came out on xbla arcade for $15.00 or so I would have picked it up.. But looks like I'm not getting it now.

Man, I'm still not buying a box product for Jam.  I'll happily pay $15 for just the arcade mode to play friends but I have no interest in playing AI even if it is in a "Boss Battle".

For less than $20, I got a boxed copy of the Tournament Edition for SNES.  That'll keep me occupied until they decide to give newschool Jam a proper release.

That sounds insane. I am pretty sure this would be a best seller on Xbox Live and PSN. Seems like they are hurting themselves.

I hate to look a gift mouth in the horse. But, considering that the NBA Jam HD included will not have the single player campaign and no boss battles, I can't say that this is worth it to me. If I believed that NBA Elite had a chance in hell of being better than NBA 2K this year, I would consider it.

Two things: 
 
1- it'll eventually be available to buy from XBLM & PSN, probably ~$15, maybe by All-Star break
 
2- it's probably missing Remix Tour because EA would have to pay more royalties to NBA / Player's Union for classic players on two more platforms

As someone who likes sports games, especially basketball, I consider this awesome.

 
They did this with Crackdown and the Halo 2 Beta but that was the other way around.  I really wanted to play this game but if it means I need to purchase NBA Live to do so...
