    Serious Flaws Ahead

NBA Live 2005 for the Xbox is a sub-par game, but first the good. It has a mode you can go into and do the three-point contest, dunk contest, and All-Star Game, and Rookie Challenge (Rookies Vs Sophomores). The dunks in the dunk contest are totally customizable. Dynasty Mode allows you to take an NBA franchise through more than one season. There is also a season mode, one-on-one mode, and Individual Practice/Slam Dunk School. You can also make a start a Playoffs Mode.

The gameplay is rather broken in a few areas. Big men cannot do any special dribbling moves and lose the ball any time they try. Also players driving toward the hoop will sometimes run the ball into the underside of the backboard or behind the backboard which means a missed shot. Because of these flaws, I would not recommend this game as a standout. Also the manual for this game is very short and needs more information in it. So I am giving this game two out of five stars.

This was a pretty good basketball game for 2005. It had freestyle control which you could control with the right analog stick, such as special crossovers, fakes, etc. It has a practice mode, NBA all-star weekend where you can start a dunk competition, all-star game, or 3-point Competition. It has season mode. The gameplay was generally good, but I would not say this was a superb basketball game. It had some errors. When you would try to do crossovers with big men, especially big men without ball...
