Nope. I played Most Wanted when it was a launch title, but haven't played another one since and don't really want too. I'm not really interested in another driving game right now.

I'm pretty excited for NFS HP myself, and the reviews have been encouraging.  Despite the annoying things EA did with the demo, I enjoyed it.
 
I plan on picking up Gran Turismo 5 as well, btw.

When I get a ps3 again and I play all the games I've been missing, yes, I will. Only because I love Criterion and loved Burnout Paradise.

 
Does it have cheesy FMV cutscenes and bad voice acting?

Definitely. Everything I've heard has been overwhelmingly positive, and I'm ready for another arcade racer (particularly one that's essentially the successor to Burnout: Paradise).

i preordered it at Amazon.com so i'll get it day of release and i get $20 credit on another game.

Maybe someday. I enjoyed the demo and had a lot of fun in the original one on PS1 back in the day. But frankly I wasn't impressed at all with Burnout Paradise so I'm kinda on the fence.

Yep, I have it pre-ordered. I enjoyed the demo, I like Criterion's work, and I'm ready to get back to some arcade racing online.

Listen Hot Pursuit. You're a great game. I tried the demo out and I loved it, it's just that I've been waiting so long for GT5...it's not you, it's me. Maybe when I'm bored...I'll check you out some other time...

Meh. I'm just not really interested in it enough to buy it. I have a bunch of old games to play right now, no use spending my money on things I don't really want. This is also why I didn't buy Black Ops.

May pick it up on Black Friday for $35. 
 
Pros:
 
*I enjoyed playing as a Cop (Crown Vic FTW), basically Takedown mode from Burnout but with a tactical element thrown in with Roadblocks, Spike Strips, etc..  
*AutoLog is a great feature, one of the first things I did was check out my friends times and try to beat them. 
 
Cons:
*Playing as a Racer wasn't anything new.
*Graphics are so-so
 
No idea on how the Multiplayer plays yet, wish we could have tried it out. I'll play it wait and see for now.

I want to see what more of Giant Bomb's community thinks.  Bumping for votes.

I like the demo of the game, but it didn't convince me  enough to get the game.

Nah, I'll probably borrow it or get it off Goozex during christmas break. Any free time I have goes to Black Ops...that and I don't have any of my consoles here with me and I don't feel like dropping an additional $50 for a controller on top of the game price.

I want to get it, but I'm in no hurry.

I'll probably get it eventually. I didn't spend a lot of time with the demo, but I did eventually come around to the fact that no, it's not Burnout, and I think the high-level strategy could get interesting.

No, not because I didn't enjoy the demo, but cause I'm not the biggest driving game fan and GT5 will be my only one for 2010. I'd like to say maybe someday next year I'll get Hot Pursuit but it never seems worth it to buy a driving game a few months after release.

Let's be honest here, come Black Friday...all the racing fans and moms will be looking at GT5 and NFS. 
 
One has you running from cops and this is the high point, one is a driving simulator with 1000+ cars, and in the south they got NASCAR stickers on the cover plastic to promote it. 
 
No one in their right mind will pick up NFS over GT5 if they own a PS3, and Black Friday will show that.

Criterion makes a game, I buy it. We could be racing giraffes for all I care.

Gonna see if my friend at EA can get it for me for free.

Racing games I always tend to get about half a year after release. I like them. Just not enough to get them day one.

i pick up a Need for Speed game on occasion, and they all seem to do with cops (part 3, Most Wanted, and this).
 
luckily my buddies got GT 5 for my birthday, so it'll be nice to race around extensively this winter while Chicago's roads are a sheet of ice

NFS 3 is what got me into the series, so fuck yeah!

Hum Joystiq already has a review out. Looking good 5/5. I am surprised there is not so much buzz around this game. Coming from Criterion at all.

Pre ordered it. and i got a mail today saying it's been sent from where i bought it from.

Well, looks like the PC version is garbage (no visual adjustment, poor interface). Sigh. 

Gonna take it out for a first spin in 5 minutes.

Was planning to, but so sure anymore. Tried giving the demo a new spin today. Not possible?! Need to buy the game to be able to play it. Demo just plays the trailer and that's it. Huh?

Yes. It should be arriving this week.

I was not a huge fan of the demo but I am glad I got the full game.  The game is far better then the Demo was.

Pre-ordered, I should have it very soon, hopefully tomorrow, we have a later release date than you guys in North America, which sucks! But I should still have it before UK retail release date. Which is a small comfort... sob....
