I'm looking to pick this up in a fortnight and just curious on how the PS3 version is.

Should I pick it up or just avoid it at all costs?

Its no different than all the others, the true question is to go through all the other threads and see if you like the game at all.

Not entirely true. While the PC version is the most gorgeous, depending on how beefy your rig is, it is also plagued by quite a few autolog-related issues and client crashes and other things of that nature. I don't believe those problems will persist for much longer, but it's to be considered.

The PS3 version should be mostly free of such problems, and it's as pretty as console games can be at 720p and slightly rocky 30 FPS.

If you have a PC and a controller, definitely go for that. Otherwise, the PS3 version seems a bit choppy, but not too bad.
