Here in Canada every game box has french written on it, especially The Orange Box and the new Batman Arkham Asylum.

I got a half French box (and half French manual) from getting Tales of Vesperia on Amazon. But yeah, like your NFS in Rhode Island it's probably just stock mixing up.

Actually I've noticed it being a trend lately.  I think all Nintendo games do it now.  Glancing quickly, Super Mario Galaxy is like that, as is Excitebots.

Not new, all Nintendo Wii games come in English, Spanish and French. Maybe they're also doing it now for other consoles.

Almost every Ubisoft game shipment we get at my store has at least a few copies which have both French and English on the box art. This isn't surprising considering Ubisoft is a French company. I don't know what Need for Speed: Shift's excuse is however considering EA is American. Nice find though.

AAAAHHH!  You mean like Ace Combat 6 and all its French-iness on the box?  GOTCHA!!!

Well, here's what I think:  if you live in America, learn English.  This is simply another way for us to continue causing language barrier issues in this country:  by promoting the idea that people don't need to learn English.

Not trying to spark a debate, but that's just what I think when I see things like that Ace Combat 6 box art.  If it's something that makes it easier for the publisher to ship to different countries, then cool.  Otherwise...fuck that.

I'm pretty certain there's a law in Canada concerning the language that a video must be in. Many and most DS games I possess have the half French/English thing going on.
