Amazing Racing
Need for Speed's Underground series gets a lot less reviews than later entries. Weird. It was Underground which somewhat paved the way for these games. Underground has great, realistic driving controls which give the thrill of realistic racing, and it has a cool, editable soundtrack with electronic, rock, and hip hop. There are many cars to buy with a lot of upgrades, including customizable vinyl with plenty of unlockable patterns and colors to choose from, as well as new parts for performance and decoration. There are a lot of levels and races that are playable that offer great challenges in multiple modes, including race, sprint, drift, and drag. This set the standards for a lot of Need for Speed games, and it's the reason Need for Speed is the way it is today.
