Basilisks are small serpentine creatures that can kill adventurers with a single glance or turn them into stone. It is classically referred to as the "king of all snakes" and its name literally means "little king".
A large omnivorous mammal that can be white, brown, or black. Despite their ferociousness, they are also associated with being soft and cuddly, as in teddy bears. Bears are also known to eat stairs. Scientists say that because "bears eat stairs" rhymes the bears are naturally inclined to do so.
Beetles are among the most widespread groups of insects in the world, with the largest number of known species. They have played various roles in human culture, and have been regarded as pests, beneficial organisms and sacred beings.
Elves who have often been corrupted in some manner, changing their skin tone and leaving them with a predisposition towards evil. Sometimes called "Drow".
Drakes are often depicted or described as European dragons. In games, they are typically smaller and more agile than true dragons.
Enchanters are spell casters that focus on the manipulation of the mind and deception.
Foraging is the ability to effectively gather food and drink from ones surroundings. Rangers, druids, and elves often excel in this skill.
Guards guard stuff, block doors, and sometimes arrest you.
Halflings, also known as hobbits, average about three and a half feet tall. They have an innate affinity to nature and possess both the agility and dexterity to make great rogues. Halflings are generally good people, but also have a mischievous side that my infuriate others.
High Elves is a race in the fantasy genre. They are all good-natured, but are often considered rude or prudish by other races. High Elves are highly intelligent, but also wise, making them great magic users of all types.
Humans are bipedal, sapient primates capable of abstract reasoning, language, and emotions.

Mummies are lumbering undead corpses wrapped in bandages. They are often associated with ancient Egypt and may have magical powers or be immortal.
Necromancers are spell casters who specializes in conjuring and controlling the undead.
Magic or divination involving the dead and departed. One that practices necromancy is generally referred to as a necromancer.
Ogres are large, grotesque, barbaric humanoid creatures. They are generally not very intelligent, but make up for that with their unmatched strength used to crush and maim their foes.
Orcs/Orks/Orques are a fictional race of tough humanlike creatures, often with green or black skin, originally coming from the Saxon word for the Normans during the invasion, meaning demon or foreigner.
A patrol is a common concept in many games in which a computer-controlled character moves back and forth along a set path repeatedly.
Piranhas are omnivorous freshwater fish. They are labeled voracious human killers.
The act of taking on an in-game task; most often, these are provided to the player by an NPC. MMOs and RPGs are the primary users of this concept.
A playable class in many roleplaying games. Rogues are also sometimes known as Thieves. The class in almost all these games center around their stealth capabilities.
Shadow Knights are a hybrid of Warriors and Necromancers and are reknowned as the most evil and feared fighters in Norrath.
These mysterious, invisible men can be found throughout Norrath. Their origins and ambitions are often debated among the other races. Some believe them to be not from Norrath at all, but from another plane of existence.
The skeleton is the framework of the human body.
Arguably the most fearsome of all the reptiles - it has scales and no legs. Snakes use a variety of tactics to harm players such as poison, hypnosis, and constriction. The most deadly snakes have mastered the way of stealth.
Any practitioner of magic (wizard, sorcerer, mage, necromancer, etc.) who casts spells. Even unlearned scholars can throw a mean magic missile every now and then.
An eight legged arachnid. Some make webs to catch prey and some are poisonous. None have made a web grand enough to be called a parlor, though.
A magician who specializes in the arcane arts of summoning. Conjurers are able to call forth otherworldly beasts and guardians to their aid.
Trolls are a mythical race of creatures that have been interpreted many different ways in games.
An individual who specializes in armed combat.
