    New Super Mario Bros. Wii

    The first 2D Mario platformer for a home console in over 15 years. Though it has single-player, it focuses heavily on cooperative multiplayer, allowing up to 4 players to play simultaneously. This game also premiered Nintendo's Super Guide hint system.

    This is game is gonna stand out so much in the stores that even more casual people will notice the game. Nice move by Nintendo. I think it looks sweet.

    Everybody I know is complaining that it ruins their Wii game lineup by being red when everything else is white.
     
    But hey, at  least you know which one is which, and that is what Nintendo wanted.

    I don't care much about that it's gonna look bad with my Wii line-up. I don't look at my Wii game cases all the time.

    @Twilight: Ok I think the red box is cool, but by admitting you'd be more likely to buy the box with that colour, you just proved that Nintendo spits in the face of third parties by letting themselves be the first to have a non-white box. (I think)
     
    Well, I guess I can't prove that any third party asked Nintendo politely if they could put their game in a specially coloured box, but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that someone did and Nintendo management said "no". 
     
    Either way, I do like the idea a lot and hope that this trend continues (for 1st and 3rd party games). That's right. I want a rainbow-coloured mess on my shelf.

    I don't think the box standing out is going to be a significant reason for sales... It being a Mario game is easily enough. Did New Super Mario Bros. for the DS lack sales, with its standard, black DS box?

    Well, I'll be sure not to buy this. It won't fit in with my other Wii games, being red. Yes, I'm serious. I like my stuff to match. That's why my PS2 collection annoys me; a lot of PS2 games have their own spine colors.
