Ever since I got the NXE update early, I could never private chat someone. Everytime I do, to me, they sound like there are fading in and out. But to them, it sounds like I'm drunk. But when I send or receive messages, or am in a game it works just fine.

Anyone else have this problem?

are you sure this problem is related  to NXE  and not your hardware ?

I'm sure. It was fine until I downloaded the NXE. And it's only private chat.

It's not just you, I had the same problem last night. I was trying to Private Chat my friend who didn't have the update and everything just sounded scary.

Maybe it has to do with chatting between the two different updates...I don't know why that would make such a difference, but it is possible.

Lets see you have update, they do not, as well last night and today was the time they were doing maitnence on xbox live people got kicked off and general server wonkiness insued.
As for that how did you get the NXE early if not in beta? i was under the impression you weren't able to connect to xbox live if you got it early.
