And i just got marcassian and im wondering if he is worth trading swaine for. He just seems like a weak oliver to me at first glance so im not sure if i should bother since i kinda like swain anyway and he is like 4 levels higher. Was just wondering if any of u duders used him and could maybe tell me if he is good or not.

I didn't use him once. He's Oliver without any damaging spells. Steal is actually really useful, so I'd say to keep Swaine in. Unless you have 3 super high levelled over powered familiars that match with Marcassian's genus.

I recommend training Marcassin to level 99. He's really useful for hard bosses other than that,yes he's useless,Swaine skill is extremely useful and besides Marcassin looks lame and sounds lame in my opinion. On the other if you're going for a full-powered party than go with Marcassin.

As someone who has 100%'ed this game I'll answer your question with another question. Do you plan to do a lot of stuff post game? If yes then go ahead and level him up because he is actually fairly useful in some fights if you get him the right familiars. However if you just want to plow through the game and get it done Swaine would be just fine.

I preferred Marcassin over Swaine but I didn't find Swaine that useful, I never used his trickshots so to me it is more beneficial to have someone else who could possibly attack or heal with magic.

Usually if you were planning to platinum the game Swaine was needed.
