Ninja Theory is a development studio based in Cambridge, England.

Overview

Ninja Theory, formerly known as Just Add Monsters and for a time a part of Argonaut Games (Company), was established under its current name in November of 2004 in Cambridge, England by Nina Kristensen (Person) and Mike Ball (Person). Heavenly Sword (Game), a PS3 exclusive, was the first title the company developed following Argonaut's bankruptcy and Ninja Theory's regained independence. Other titles that the company has since developed include Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, published by Namco Bandai, and DmC Devil May Cry (Game), a reboot of Capcom's Devil May Cry (Franchise) franchise.

On June 10, 2018 at the E3 2018 (Concept) Microsoft press conference, it was announced that Microsoft had acquired the studio and they would become a subsidiary of Xbox Game Studios.

On July 6, 2026, as part of Microsoft's restructuring of Xbox, it was announced that Ninja Theory would be sold.
