Today I will talk about how to use a process called VNC to control and view your computer from your DS. This is a bit more complicated than previous things I have shared with the community, but I hope it will interest you anyway.
First, you need a way to load the program on your DS. I cannot guarantee compatiblity of this with the DSi, but you might be able to homebrew that easier since it has an SD card slot built in. But as for the original Nintendo DS, and the DS Lite, you would need a Flash Cart like this.
After you do that, you'll need the program for your DS, which is named PointyRemote. This includes a server for your computer. So after you have all of the above, you might have to tweak some IP address settings and then you'll be good to go! (Refer to the Readme included in the zip for operating instructions.)
You should get a result like this:
That looks pretty damn cool, but is it anything more than a novelty? It probably isn't Mac compatible :-)
More geek genius, that continues to impress me. Anyone with a flash card willing to give this a shot?
NOTE: This is about the legal uses of flash cards. Do not talk about using them for piracy or you will likely have your post removed and a follow up PM.
