With the glowing reviews of God of War and a coinciding release date, I've chosen to save my money to engage the kids in a bit of craftwork being from the UK I've got a chance to let you lot test it out for a week before release. Anyone who's got the LABO let me know you're first impressions?

We’re picking up neither game soon, but will be going backpacking as a family for a long weekend this spring.

Real dad. I know my kid is going to love that thing if it is as advertised. I'm worried he's going to rip up that robot exo skeleton thing the first time he tries to play with it though.

I'll probably pick of GoW at some point on sale.

Pretend dad, children are too expensive and I love my money.

I have nothing against Labo, but I think the demographic it intrigues most is - adults. Adults like to think they know what most children will find interesting and they love to over-inflate just how patient with tasks.
I think anyone with kids shoudl lower their expectations to "rock-bottom" and they they few who have kids who surprise them can be happy. I would even say if you think you kid might like a cardboard toy projects go over to Instructables.com for "How-to-Make-a-Medieval-Trebuchet-Out-of-Cardboard" or "Cardboard-Samurai-Armor". No only would making those projects take less time, they look more durable and you don't have to be afraid about using tons of glue and duct tape to make them last for months.
