Hello there Nintendo fans!

When I was browsing through the news articles on the Nintendo Life website, so here is what I found:

Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, Wednesday 9th February - Nintendo Life

So here are my expectations to see:

• New Ridge Racer (3rd party title)
• New F-Zero
• New Fire Emblem (No matter if it's main or spin-off)
• New Excite Truck/Bike
• New Wave Race
• More footage of The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel
• Anime games to be announced (No matter if they're 1st or 3rd party)
• More footage of Chocobo GP

Just want to see a bit more of Bayonetta 3. I think it’ll be ok but it didn’t have the best showing last time.

"40 minutes of information mainly focused on#NintendoSwitchgames launching in the first half of 2022."

No Breath of the Wild sequel footage for sure.

@liquiddragon: I definitely want an update on Bayo3 especially after Platinum's announcement over the weekend that they want to be making more live service games.

My predictions are:

One more small showing of New Kirby

Pokemon Arceus update

Bayonetta 3

Silksong?

Small Monster Hunter Rise DLC showing

Next couple games announced for NSO (64,Genesis,SNES)

Maybe announcement of GBA games coming to switch

Small showing of BotW2

This is my prediction for the whole show start to finish:

A bunch of boring announcements that nobody wants or cares about

An incredibly long, deep dive on a port of a Japanese game that 3 people are going to be incredibly happy about but the rest of the world won't care about or understand

An interview with developer of above game

A "we're sorry, we have nothing to talk about" announcement about BOTW2, Metroid Prime 4, and Bayonetta 3

Something Splatoon or Smash Bros. related

And finally- Ring Fit Adventure 2, including an improved ring and better quality of life features

Oh and we forgot- We're bringing Windwaker HD to Switch this holiday season

Ok, seriously one last thing: Mario Kart 9 is coming soon and will be available...now!

Kirby info. Probably some update on the future of Pokemon: Arceus since that sold so well.

There's been some heavier talk about a Mario Kart 9, so I'm curious when that'll pop up.

Triangle Strategy is the next, big 3rd party game so that should get a few words.

And then whatever they're putting out for the summer.

Nintendo is pretty cautious in February. We may get some announcements but this year is pretty planned out for them (assuming nothing is delayed). Bayo 3 and BOTW 2 should be coming this year so until then it'll be whatever is between then and now.

I'm hoping for an official confirmation and teaser for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The rumor reporting from last year has me eager and anxious to see Monolith Soft's next game.

I expect to once more be angry about no Wind Waker Switch port.

This is my only expectation as well -- although not angry, because I've given up...also, @gtxforza, why do you fans do this to yourselves? There is no way they are going to announce a new F-Zero. Don't torture yourself! Throw away all expectations but the worst ones, and then you will never be upset!

Because I love F-Zero so much for featuring futuristic technologically advanced racing machines, awesome looking characters and the racing circuits are so good plus the gameplay-wise is so addicting for its sub-genre (arcade-style futuristic racing) standards.

@gtxforza: I get it, but Nintendo is only ever going to bring you pain.

I guess I'll expect a mention of Triangle Strategy because I recently realised that game is coming out much sooner than I thought (and blessedly has kept the goofy name).

I don't expect it but I would certainly hope that there's a reveal of the next Fire Emblem along with maybe a re-reveal of Metroid Prime 4.

Hmm, perhaps the next Fire Emblem installment could be part of Nintendo Switch 2's library of games.

Again, this is mainly for games coming in the FIRST HALF OF 2022, so maybe temper your expectations. There might be some tease in the very end, but I’d mainly expect:

• Lots of indie games
• Some bigger third-party games
• More Kirby info
• More Triangle Strategy info

• Kirby
• Mario + Rabbids
• Advance Wars
• Mario Kart 9
• Pikmin 4
• Metroid Prime Remaster
• Another Zelda port
• More retro games for the Switch Online service

These are what I expect to show up. I think you will be disappointed if you think a new F-Zero game will be announced unfortunately. I'd love for them to allow us to just buy the retro games, but that will never happen. I'm hoping for a big surprise, but that list I have should be good enough.

Of course, I'll be disappointed if a new F-Zero or Excite Truck doesn't get announced.

Expectations are set low, the Nintendo community always hypes them up to be set up for disappointment better to not expect much and then be surprised later

I predict they'll show a grand sum of fuck all, and Nintendo fans will still say it's the best direct yet

• New Kirby game stuff
• Advance Wars 1+2 stuff
• BOTW2 delayed until Q1 2023
• BUT, Twilight Princess coming to Switch in September/October

I don't think we'll see much of BOTW2. I expect that they'll have a new trailer and gameplay demo around the E3 time. That's usually how it seems to go. I wouldn't be surprised to see some other Zelda-y news, like Amiibo or Hyrule Warriors DLC, or some new weird spinoff (Zelda farming sim anyone?) Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see Lego Zelda.

I bet we'll get an announcement (or shadow drop?) of that rumored GoldenEye remake. Also expect some other new ports or remasters (Metroid Prime, Zelda WW/TP, ...)

Rumors say we'll be getting something new in the Fire Emblem world, and that seems like a no-brainer given the success of Three Houses.

I'm just hoping for one brand new unannounced 1st-party game. Hopefully something weird and unique.

Nintendo buys Microsoft

My big prediction is that this is where Nintendo will all but confirm Zelda isn't playable in BotW2, and that will be all people talk about afterwards.

Also Kirby will be there.

Nintendo buys Konami.

Chrono Cross, Front Mission, and Live a Live remakes/remasters.

Old ass JRPG fans rise up.

Mouthful Mode.

It was a big direct for anime perverts.

And vore enthusiasts.

Anyway this Direct rules because it's aimed directly at me and really what else matters.

New Mario Kart tracks! Mario Strikers! Switch Sports! Mother 1 and Mother 2 coming to Famicom and Super Famicom online too! I'm looking forward to Nintendo's 2022.

I am very excited to finally sit down and play Earthbound. It's the game I've wanted to show up on Switch Online the most.

They made Kirby look even better, good job! I probably wouldn’t care even if it turns out to be super easy, because it just looks so delightful to play.

Klonoa is neat, though I might play the collection on another platform, depending on how busy that time of the year turns out.

Nothing much beyond those that interested me, except maybe Switch Sports.

It's a Nintendo made JRPG esque game, so it'll be diabolical.

It's kind of wild to me that Mario Kart 8 came out in like... 2014? And was quietly transformed into Nintendo's version of a Service Game. I don't really know if it's a good or bad thing, it's just weird to think about.

I don't know what to think about the Kirby game now. I know we're having fun with Mouthful Mode, but it's kind of disturbing to me? It's like 3 different DeviantArt fetishes rolled into one topped with a light dusting of that one Garfield fan comic.

I'm exaggerating just a bit, but introducing the idea that there are things that don't shrink down when Kirby eats them feels weird, and it does feel like either no one on the Kirby team has been on the Internet in the last 15 years, or there's someone on the team that is very online.

@sethmode: To be fair, if you've seen the thumbnail for GB's coverage of the Direct you've seen Mouthful Mode. They just show more of what it can do in the Direct itself.

Kirby has always gotten the Aw look at em treatment so it’s time to focus on how like yo Kirby is kinda fucked up.
