Being quite the prolific musician, Sano has composed at least one track for every entry in both the Ridge Racer and Tekken franchises. His largest contribution being that of the music for Tekken 3, on which he composed nearly every track. Currently employed at Japanese developer Cavia, Sano's last major project was the virtual synthesizer cartridge KORG DS-10 for the Nintendo DS, his first game as producer. To promote the game, he formed a short-lived band with Yasunori Mitsuda and Michio Okamiya called "Trio the DS-10".
Active since 1992, Sano has composed music for a wide variety of releases and mediums including video games, television, and anime. He has said Underworld and Yellow Magic Orchestra are his favorite musical acts and some of the big influences on his music.
