    Under Team Silent

An interview into the process of creating Silent Hill 3 called "Making of Silent Hill 3" was conducted at some point near or after the game's launch. The interview had a few short sentences about some of the Team Silent developers on the game. This is a translation of what was said about Norihito Hatakeda:

    Graphics Engine Programmer: Norihito Hatakeda

Born in 1972. Has had a hand in the Silent Hill series since the second game. In charge of programming related to effects throughout. In addition to the Silent Hill series, he has worked on games such as NHL Blades of Steel 2000.

Gaining special thanks work on Silent Hill 4: The Room, Team Silent was dissolved and absorbed into Konami itself.

    Under Kojima Productions

Hatakeda then joined Kojima Productions and worked as a programmer for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. He also was credited as Production Support on MGS: Peace Walker. This is likely because at that time he was put on the task of working on the FOX Engine for debut with Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. He also worked as one of the lead system programmers for Death Stranding.
