    His development studio Overworks has been credited for much of Sega's success in the 16-bit console market.

    He was responsible for creating the Shinobi series of hack & slash platformers, the Streets of Rage trilogy of beat 'em up brawlers, the Sakura Wars series of VN-strategy-RPG titles, and the Skies of Arcadia role-playing game.
