all these pictures shouldn't be censored
Nudity
Concept »
Nudity is qualified as either exposed buttocks, breasts, or genitalia or general lack of clothing. Video game nudity is largely a rarity outside of the PC market.
Unnecesary censorship
"If you want porn, go look for porn elsewhere... don't go looking for it here."its not about that, its about the screen shots from the game being modified
this site is supposed to become an open source database.
say a magazine wants to write an article for a game, uses giantbombs data base, and only stumbles on censored modified screen shots, this isnt what should be happening
edit: i want to see constructive comment from those who disagree so we can dialogue about the issue
"Dalai said:They just want to keep this site semi-professional. I understand your point, but I don't think it's something to fuss over, seriously. As for me, I would like it to be censored as there is no point to seeing pixelated boobies."If you want porn, go look for porn elsewhere... don't go looking for it here."its not about that, its about the screen shots from the game being modified

its to have a reference image
on a side note, most of the images in the nudity that are censored have been censored with the giant bomb logo, it looks funny i agree but its a watermark none the less

edit: i would really like to have a mod to add something to this discussion
The main worry here is minors, whether they get access to the nude pictures or there are nude pictures of them. If it weren't for that, there probably would be no censorship of any kind.
Another problem is censorship by outside forces (this would be the police, etc. but not people in GB) has always been erratic and inconsistent. When they try to ban something, there's usually something twice as bad that is ignored. People might try to ban something because of rumors they hear, or it's election time and politicians need a smokescreen or scapegoat, because its easier to get voters riled up about something than talk about how lacking our education system is.
It's easy to say "I hate censorship!," especially if it's not you that will be facing charges. Even rumors can be devastating and impossible to quash. I'd rather have at least a little censorship than have GB face charges. We all know what's under those bomb icons, if you're of age, go ahead and buy the game and see all of it.

Well, unless someone's writing an article about "the history of how vaginas look in video games" people are going to get the point and know what's going on. But there does to be some flip flopping on allowing nude images and having that happen. Unless they meant to say "only have nudity represented if it's in a video game, but the nude parts will be taken out" so only the video games would have nudity pictured here, and nude fan art, nude modding of characters, nude real life pictures of people, etc. would not be allowed at all. That's my guess.
finally someone who has an intelligent remply
i actually just posted another topic directed more directly at the mods i'll answer your post there

"Well, unless someone's writing an article about "the history of how vaginas look in video games"
No bullshitting here - Time is actually working on a similar article as we speak.

Hello there. Subject in question here. I'll shed a little light on my motivation. ^_^
I saw the article, and I AM very aware of the "nudity in context policy" here at Giant Bomb. I had a good number of connections and games related to the nudity concept to contribute, and felt I knew enough about the subject to write about it, and so I did. However, when uploading the images, I wanted the reader to be able to get an idea of the nudity in the game without necessarily being subject to it on the main page. I have tried to put the original versions of the images I placed in the article in their respective game themselves.
The images themselves are not specifically watermarked or anything. I just took the site logo and used it as a mild, playfully humorous element so that I could still convey the nudity in general without the immediate exposure, trying to keep it somewhat worksafe-ish in the process. Everything for everybody, essentially. I did rather go out of my way on some of them to barely cover up the nudity.
Anyway, I just hope that people see the purpose and tongue-in-cheek humor in my motivation. I'm sure as hell not a prude, either. THAT much should be grossly obvious by now. ;)
its to have a reference imageIt's not a watermark, and they weren't added by GiantBomb. They were added by me before I uploaded them, if that wasn't cleared up yet. ^_^
