    One-Handed Gameplay

    Concept »

Games that can be played with one hand, typically using only half of a standard controller or only the mouse/keyboard.

Looking for some good turn based games while I nurse an injured hand.

I dig the Eidos Go games. Just got Deus Ex Go and haven't played it but 100%ed both Hitman and Lara Croft. Super fun!

Do you have your dominate hand? Not a turn based game but I played the first Kentucky Route Zero Ep and that thing seems awesome.

Another vote for Darkest Dungeon here.

    XCom

    Invisible Inc.

    Civilization 5 or 6

Also you might want to look into some ARPGs like Diablo 3 or Grim Dawn maybe playing on a lower difficulty.

Recently cut my thumb deeply while slicing a bagel. Making normal games difficult.

Playing a bunch of Pokemon Sun has been a blast though

I have had a lot of fun with Battle Academy 1 and 2. They are turn based WWII PC games that are fairly arcadey and easy to jump into.

@ulquiokani: Never been big on turn based stuff in general. Just the occasional Pokémon and Civ here and there.

If you injured your left hand you could use xpadder to emulate WASD key presses with the left analog stick of a controller. Then you have WASD on an analog stick that you could control with the heel of your left palm. OR...Xcom 2. Xcom 2 would be easier.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions is great but might require a bit of both hands for exploration.

That said bravely default has a one handed control system!

Also yeah Civ. That game can take so much time you could easily spend your recovery on a couple of games of that (least I could).

Pretty much agree with all suggestions so far. If you're in the mood, clickers and adventure games are also pretty easy to play with one hand. Also I will recommend Stephen's Sausage Roll at every chance I get.

If you have a PlayStation 4, keep in mind that you can go into the accessibility options in the menus and swap the functions any buttons on a system level. I would guess that could help a lot.

As for actual game suggestions, Invisible Inc is turn-based--and it's a free game on PS+ this month--so maybe check it out.

And I've never played it, but Stardew Valley might also be a good idea.

I appreciate all the suggestions. I've jumped into invisible Inc and am enjoying it a lot. Hitman is also faitly playable if I take it slow.
